Working together on smart and sustainable buildings
Buildings account for nearly 40 percent of global carbon emissions. That makes collaboration crucial. Technology companies, software developers and hardware suppliers are increasingly seeking each other out in coalitions that not only come up with solutions, but actually realize them. The collaboration between Next Sense, Ingy and Interlight shows how three complementary parties are making buildings smarter, more sustainable and future-proof.
Next Sense
At the heart of this collaboration is Amsterdam-based Next Sense. Their software platform turns raw data into concrete actions. Real-time monitoring, AI-driven control and smart simulations help building owners reduce energy consumption by 20 to 40 percent. At the same time, the platform supports ESG and reporting requirements, making buildings “Paris-Proof” step by step. “Technology only has real impact when it helps solve major challenges,” says Ferdinand Grapperhaus of Next Sense. “And that challenge is clear: the decarbonization of our buildings.”

Ingy
Smart software, however, needs reliable data – and that’s where Ingy comes in. As a specialist in wireless networking and data collection, Ingy provides the foundation on which Next Sense can build. Every fixture, sensor and driver becomes a source of valuable information. “We bring the voices of the building together,” explains Bastiaan de Groot of Ingy. “Every signal – from a motion sensor to a light point – helps us understand how a building really functions.”
Interlight
Interlight provides the hardware that makes existing installations future-proof. From sensors and wireless smart controls to modules that make traditional lighting smart: Interlight Thinq links the tangible to the digital. Thus, Next Sense’s analyses and Ingy’s data become visible in more economical lighting, smarter use of spaces and a more pleasant indoor climate for the people who work and stay there.
From data to impact
Collaboration only really becomes visible in practice. People count sensors measure how many people are in a room so that lighting and climate control are automatically adjusted. Thinq drivers and Thinq-to-Dali modules make existing (Dali) lighting wirelessly controllable. Together with stand-alone sensors and smart LED fixtures, an ecosystem is created in which everything communicates with each other, energy is saved and buildings operate more efficiently than ever before.

This synergy is what makes the collaboration so special. Next Sense provides the intelligence, Ingy the connectivity and Interlight the physical components. This creates buildings that are not only more efficient, but also more human.
