Stay yourself
We are what you might call an “old hand in the business. Koopman was founded 75 years ago as an agency company, and we still are. We represent several foreign suppliers of electrical equipment, think kWh meters, plugs and reels.
About 15 years ago, director Casper Vulling decided to take a somewhat more adventurous path with Koopman: that of lighting. We have built a worldwide knowledge network around ourselves. Together with those parties, we develop beautiful innovative products.Our team has now grown to a group of more than 20 Koopman men and women. A close club with heart for the business. With great pleasure we dedicate ourselves every day to ensure that everyone can enjoy our new ideas.
Keep developing
New things are our thing! We have a lot of in-house knowledge to support and properly deploy our innovative product range. We regularly attend training courses in the field of lighting and electrical engineering to stay up-to-date and be prepared for the future. This allows us to think along and collaborate on (lighting) solutions so that everyone can enjoy our innovations.
With our suppliers, we look for sustainable products at a good price. Better good copy than bad thinking? So no, we think out-of-the box, we don’t copy things but create new concepts. That’s exciting, but for example our Camita lens (for the halogen light experience in LED) and Waves reflector (lots of – indirect – light for the price of a Chinese rice table for 4 people) are proof that having a little courage can take you much further.

Sustainable
We make sure our products last much longer and we make conscious choices in the types and quantities of materials used. It will be even better if we can start using material that has already been used. The advantage of Koopman’s manageable size is that we ourselves are at the helm of how far we can achieve this ambition.
Best guarantee
All our products have at least a 2-year warranty. With normal use, a product should last at least 2 years. Unfortunately this is not always the case, but we do not make things difficult. We replace or repair the product free of charge. Most Interlight products are even guaranteed for 5 to 7 years!
