New colleague
We have a familiar name and a new face: Thijs Vulling has started as Product Manager at Jacs Koopman. Indeed, the apple does not fall far from the tree, Thijs is the son of Casper Vulling. With his fresh energy and his own ideas we are looking forward to build beautiful things together.

What appealed to you about the Product Manager position and why did you choose this field?
It’s a super varied role. You’re kind of at the intersection of technology, commerce and organization and that fits exactly how I am. I like to improve things, make the link between customer and product and meanwhile keep an overview of the whole process. That is why I chose this job. No two days are the same and you keep challenging yourself.
What did you take away from your studies that you can already apply in your work?
I studied HBO technical business administration and before that MBO construction engineering. This combination will help me
in my work. TBK has taught me how to organize processes intelligently and how to keep looking critically at how things can be improved. From architecture I understand very well how products are eventually applied. That practicality really helps in translating customer wishes.
What are your first impressions of working at Jacs Koopman?
Very good! It is an open and down-to-earth organization where there is a lot of knowledge around and where you quickly become part of the team. Everyone is approachable and there is room to contribute your own ideas. That works motivating.
What should people really know about me?
Outside of work hours, I am regularly at the gym. Strength sports is really a hobby of mine. On weekends, I’m often with friends. Just relaxing and laughing. For me, that balance is important: working hard, but also enjoying it.
