Warranty
All our products have at least a 2-year warranty. With normal use, a product should last at least 2 years. Unfortunately this is not always the case, but we do not make things difficult. We replace or repair the product free of charge. Most Interlight products are even guaranteed for 5 to 7 years! The warranty period can be found on the product page of each item.
Warranty periods
When you choose Thinq sensors in combination with Interlight fixtures and drivers, we provide a 10-year (max. 70,000 burning hours) warranty on the complete system. Do you use the sensor with lighting from another brand? Then you get the standard 5 year Interlight warranty on the sensors! *
Warranty period of 7 years unlimited. The warranty period begins on the invoice date of Jacs. Koopman B.V.. *
Warranty period of 5 years or 20,000, 30,000 or 35,000 hours (depending on the fixture or spotlight), whichever is reached first. The warranty period starts on the invoice date of Jacs. Koopman B.V.. *
Warranty period of 2 years, the warranty period begins on the invoice date of Jacs. Koopman B.V.. *
* The warranty as described here applies to Interlight branded lighting products and is valid as of September 2015.
** Warranty is void when using a driver outside the Interlight range.
Conditions of warranty
- The fixture and any driver must be connected by a licensed installer according to enclosed instructions.
- Care was taken to ensure continuous proper ventilation of fixtures and the drivers so that thermal conditions were not out of band.
- The ambient temperature must never exceed the operating temperature range (-20°C to +30°C).
- The measured power factor in the project on the connected group should equal or exceed the power factor of the product and there is installed within the limits of the inrush current in the group.
- The electrical system within which the product is installed should meet the requirements of normal mains stability.
- This group does not include high-pressure gas discharge fixtures or other components with high starting currents.
As soon as Jacs. Koopman B.V. has repaired or replaced a product, the remainder of the original warranty period continues to apply. Representatives of Jacs. Koopman B.V. will have access to the defective product or application for inspection upon request.
Liability
Jacs. Koopman B.V. cannot be held liable for costs made by the buyer without having informed Jacs. Koopman B.V. of the defective products and without Jacs. Koopman B.V. has given written permission for the costs to be made.
If a product delivered by Jacs. Koopman B.V. shows a defect that is the result of a construction and/or production error made by us and the warranty period for that product has not expired, you must inform us of this as soon as possible after the defect is discovered. Without prior notification to Jacs. Koopman B.V. as referred to in the previous sentence, we will never be obliged to fully or partially reimburse any repair costs incurred by you, whether or not through a third party engaged by you.
If Jacs. Koopman B.V. is of the opinion after a report that it can be held liable for repair costs to be incurred and it has made this known to you in writing or by e-mail, the following restrictions apply to the compensation of such repair costs.
The maximum hourly fee for repair work that Jacs. Koopman B.V. reimburses is EUR 35 excluding VAT. Also, when calculating those repair costs, the following principles apply:
Maximum 5 minutes installation time for a fully assembled fixture (unpack fixture, go up work stairs, plug in and place fixture in system grid = maximum €2.95 fee per fixture).
Maximum 10 minutes installation time for a fixture that still needs to be connected (performing the above operations + stripping the power cable + connecting it = maximum €5.85 compensation per fixture).
