Different zones in the bathroom
A bathroom can be divided into three different zones.
Different IP values apply to all zones.
Zones
Zone 0 = Space in the bathtub, sink or shower basin.
Zone 1 = Space above bathtub or shower up to 225 cm.
Zone 2 = Everything within 60 cm of the bathtub, shower or sink.
Zone 3 = Everything outside the 60 cm radius of the bathtub, shower or sink.
IP values
Zone 0 = minimum IP67 | Waterproof when immersed 1m deep 30 minutes.
Zone 1 = at least IP65 | Spray water proof.
Zone 2 = at least IP44 | Splashproof
Zone 3 = at least IP21 | Protected against vertically falling water droplets
