The hole size includes the diameter of the recess in the ceiling or surface in which the fixture will be installed. This is also often specified separately as "saw size" or "drill size designation."
For the flange size, measure the largest width of the edge at the front of the fixture.
Recessed depth is the minimum space required to fully insert a recessed spotlight into a ceiling, wall or other surface.
The IP rating indicates how well a luminaire is protected against the ingress of solids (e.g., dust) and liquids (e.g., water).
