5. Where will your personal data be stored?

Your information is stored on our own secure and locked servers as well as on secure third-party servers. Jacs Koopman uses servers in the Netherlands.

We may engage service providers (“processors”) to process your personal data who process personal data exclusively on our behalf. We conclude a processor agreement with these processors that meets the requirements set by the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). For example, we work with service providers who provide software and/or hosting services. In addition, there are ICT service providers who support us in keeping our systems secure and stable. We also use third-party services for sending newsletters and commercial emails. These are examples of parties that qualify as processors within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). Processors for the purposes of this article include, for example, Unit 4 and IN2CRM.

6. In what ways is your personal information protected?

We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing. Our website is adequately protected (including https) and we use a professional WordPress system, with personal passwords that are changed regularly. If applicable, paper files are stored in an encrypted cabinet that can only be viewed by the employee handling the case. 7. Website and cookies

You can create an account for our website to view our current stock. For this account we need general information and an e-mail address.

We use Google Analytics to analyze visits to our website. To do that properly, we use cookies. The cookies ensure the proper functioning of the site, let us see which pages are most clicked on, for example, and tell us more about our visitors’ browsing behavior. We have a processor agreement with Google. When you visit our website you remain anonymous, we do not let Google process your full IP address. Google offers the possibility to delete the last 3 digits of the IP address. This happens in temporary memory, i.e. before the IP address is stored by Google. In addition, we have disabled data sharing with Google. This means that Google cannot use our data for its own purposes. We do not use cookies for personalized online advertising or other Google services. To get a better picture of our website visitors, we use reports on demographics and interest categories generated by Google Analytics. This records data such as age, gender and interests. Google Analytics cookies are not used in conjunction with other Google services, such as DoubleClick and Google Ads.

To measure the business use of our website, we use the service Leadinfo from Rotterdam. This service shows us company names and addresses based on IP addresses of our visitors. The IP address is not recorded in this process.

We use Hotjar to better understand the needs of our users and to optimize this service and experience (e.g. how much time people spend on which pages, which links they choose to click on, what users like and dislike, etc.) and this allows us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data about the behavior of our users and their devices. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in an unidentified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually prohibited from selling any of the data collected on our behalf.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our AI chat from misuse by scripts etc.

8. Use of apps

Our services include multiple mobile applications (“Apps”) that require users to create a personal account. When you register an account in one of our Apps, we process the data you provide yourself, such as name, email address, login information and any additional profile information required to provide the functionalities of the App.

In addition, the Apps may automatically collect technical data, such as device information, operating system, usage data and preferences, to improve operation and provide support. This data is used exclusively for managing your account, providing the functionality of the Apps, securing our services and – if applicable – fulfilling contractual agreements.

Jacs Koopman does not share data collected through the Apps with third parties unless strictly necessary for the operation of the Apps (e.g., hosting, authentication or analytics), or when we are required to do so by law. All of our processors are contractually bound to the same privacy and security standards as we are.

You may delete your account within the Apps at any time. In that case, your account information will be deleted within a reasonable period of time, unless we are required by law to keep it longer.

9. Knowledge, correction and portability of your data

If you would like to see the information that is on file with us about you, you may request to see it. This request can be sent to info@jacskoopman.nl. Jacs Koopman will respond to your request for inspection within four (4) weeks. If you wish to make changes to the information you have seen as a result of your request for inspection, you can send a request to the aforementioned e-mail address. You can request that Jacs Koopman changes, corrects, adds to, deletes or screens your information. Jacs Koopman will respond to your request within four (4) weeks. If Jacs Koopman rejects your request, it will indicate in its reply why the request to modify the data is rejected.

You also have the right to obtain and have transferred the personal data you have provided in a common, structured and readable form. This request can be sent to info@jacskoopman.nl.

10. Can this privacy policy be changed?

This privacy policy is subject to change. Developments happen quickly and therefore sometimes the personal data we request from you and the way we use your personal data may change.
